A popular spot for after-work drinks among young office types, this headline-themed watering hole has multiple bars, daily drink specials and a bustling dance floor with a DJ on the weekends. Thursday's beer and taco happy hour guarantees a full house.
Dupont Circle's Lucky Bar prides itself in two things: cheap beer and sports. With one bar downstairs and two upstairs, booths to order food and about 25 mounted TVs turned to matches from around the world, Lucky Bar has become a popular spot for catching soccer games. A Saturday night DJ transforms the first floor into a sizzling dance floor.
Cafe Citron's Latin vibe feels chic and authentic--bartenders serve up delicious mojitos and frozen margaritas, and revelers shake to the sounds of reggaeton, bachata, salsa and merengue. A happy hour Monday through Saturday from 4pm to 7pm features $4 mojitos, Cuervo margaritas and sangria, as well as $3 Coronas.
Ultra trendy 18th Street Lounge is Dupont's spot for beautiful people. The unmarked door and strict dress code makes getting in somewhat tricky, but once inside, the upscale house-party atmosphere is one of a kind.
If you're looking for a friendly spot to shoot pool and play shuffleboard, this spacious billiards hall has a large beer selection and a dozen TVs. Going to catch a big game? Get there early to stake out a spot--the bar gets packed on these nights.
Most patrons bypass the loungey first floor and head upstairs to the crowded karaoke bar, which offers 22,000 sing-along tunes six nights a week--excluding Tuesday.
