Australian tchotchkes and brews give this quintessentially American restaurant a distinctive Down Under flavor.. In Short
Boomerangs, Aussie flags, kangaroo portraits and faux aboriginal art honor the homeland's wilderness, but Outback delivers a polished version of rusticity with varnished blond-wood booths with matching wainscoting and casually uniformed waitstaff. Besides more than a half-dozen cuts of steak, diners can pick from large-portioned entrees like ribs, chops and shrimp or chicken "on the barbie." The Bloomin' Onion, a large onion dipped in batter and deep-fried, is an appetizer with a following.

Not what I expected from Outback!. I waited 5 min. for the hostess to tell me smoking was selfseating in the bar. I went and sat in a booth at the bar to wait for my friends(the table wasn't even clean,I cleaned it myself)I waited 20 min. before a waiter even came to get my drink and ask if I was waiting for anyone. It took another 15 min. to GET that drink. After my friends arrived the service got a little better. We all ordered the Prime Rib, they were out of Med. Rare so we all ordered Medium. 10 min. later the waiter comes back and says they are out of Prime Rib. So we all ordered the Rib Eye. It wasn't the best, a bit over done for a Medium Rare steak. I would not go back to THAT particular Outback Steakhouse.
