Best susi outside of San Francisco!. It was delightful surprise. I think the New Yorkers will say the same. It was best sushi I had out side of San Francisco and New York City. Young urban, classic, hip decoration. Service was great, too. I went with eight of my family and relatives and we got several items 'on-the-house' as well. I recommand the special rolls. I think the 'YOKO' was hit hard by theses guy's success. Don't pay attention to jealous competitors whos talent (chef's) falls short whether Japanese or Korean, or Chinese, or French....

These guys are bogus. I thought I was being served by an authenic Japanese sushi chef....oh how wrong was I. These guys are actually Korean. When I asked the chef something in Japanese, he looked dumfounded. The sushi is not the freshest and the service is a rush you in and rush you out. I'll never go there again. I'll go to YOKO's a mile away where I can find real sushi.

Dinner and Movie Date. Matsutake has really good food in a great location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Has both a sushi- and a japanese steakhouse-side of the restaurant. I am more familiar with the steakhouse-side. Prices are similar to other japanese steakhouses. I have never had to wait for a seat (7+ times), the tables seat 8 and they try to fill them up as much as possible. They will start a table for less if they can't fill. Usually I go there on a date, but I have also taken my 4-yr old. Located in the Worldgate Shopping Center, between the cinema and the hotel. Parking is in short supply on the upper level, but there is a large free parking deck below. After dinner it is a short walk to theatres for a movie. The hotel tends to draw a lot of interesting business travelers - good for conversation.
