Another Happy Customer:.
Today was my first visit to CAMEO COINS & COLLECTIBLES, but it certainly will not be my last. I also received a fair, very reasonable offer- and left feeling very good about our transaction today.
I also like the family run aspect and their no-pressure, take as long as you like approach. You can instantly see why first time customers quickly become repeat customers. Thank you Mark who quoted figures over the phone and then to John who completed the deal. See you guys soon!
Great customer service and fair!.
I have been collecting coins for about 20 years and have dealt with many coin dealers over that span. The folks at Cameo (6 different people) welcomed me and my collection, spent time with me going over the coins (both big and small), and were very reasonable with their offer.
They are in business to make money. I understand that and have no problem with that concept. What was nice about Cameo is they didn't try to make all their money off of me. They were very fair, very reasonable. I am a satisfied customer and feel good about our business.
Beyond rude for no reason at all.
I actually signed up for this service just to write this negative review on Cameo Coins & Collectibles. This is not something I am inclined to do very often.
My girlfriend, who could not be a sweeter or kinder person, went into the shop to sell two $20 gold pieces. I was on the phone with her as she talked to the manager, an older gentleman named Frank. She asked several non-confrontational questions about the valuation of the coins; and from the very beginning, he was short and rude with her. He told her that she had an "attitude" and that she could take her business elsewhere. I heard the whole thing over the phone and was shocked. She left in tears.
I called the store moments later and was greeted with the same rude and abusive attitude. He said, "I don't need to explain myself to you - if feelings are hurt then that's just too damn bad." I'm a combat disabled veteran, and I have never had someone speak to me with such disrespect.
This gentleman is a mean, crotchety old man who has no business being in customer service. He did not even offer the scrap value of the coins. Regardless, I'm considering selling the coins and buying advertisement space just to tell the world what a jerk he is.
