GREAT EXPIERENCE. Went to PBS because I wanted a career change. Never tended bar prior. They taught me the knowldege and skills to be EXTREMELY successful in a VERY limited amount of time. I now can keep up with bartenders who have years of expierence on me.

The cherry is their refresher courses and job placement program. Always available and in contact with excellent results.

WELL WORTH IT!!!!!

Great Investment!. The first time I considered being a bartender was while I was in school. I was in a Masters program and was about to graduate, but knew it would be a long road toward finding a career in my field. The hard truth was that I needed a job quickly and I needed a job that would pay enough to sustain me and to help me battle my student loans. After a bit of asking around, bartending started looking like a good option, but I had absolutely no experience as a bartender or even in the restaurant industry. A quick Google search lead me to the Professional Bartending School of Arlington, Virginia. From their website I got the impression that they were a very reputable and knowledgeable school (over 40 years of business means something has to be going right!). Once I gave them a call this impression was confirmed. The staff was straightforward and extremely helpful. I was so convinced of their quality after speaking to them that I recommended the school to two of my schoolmates who were in the same situation I was in; we all decided to enroll together and it was an excellent decision.

It was apparent from the beginning that the bartending classes were set up with a lot of thought and dedication. The lessons were engaging and often hilarious, due to our great teacher, and were complete with a full bar on which to practice our lessons each day. The flexibility of the lesson schedules was very convenient and appreciated. I took the two weeklong version in the mornings while I was completing my Masters program during the afternoons and evenings. I graduated from both my Masters program and my bartending school at the same time.

The Professional Bartending School did not cut its ties with me once I had graduated. In fact, I would say that the services they provided after I graduated were the most beneficial towards getting me a job! A few days after graduating the job placement office and J.D. Kippler contacted me. From their 40 years of business in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, the Professional Bartending School has gained a fantastic reputation for providing good bartenders, therefore may bars and restaurants come to them looking for people to hire. J.D. helped get me get in contact with these bars and restaurants and within two weeks of graduating I had four interviews and by the end of the third week I was hired by the Penn Quarter Sports Tavern in Washington D.C. I love my job and the people I work with (some of which are other graduates of the Professional Bartending School)! And to make it even better, I will be making close to 40K in my new job. Definitely enough to support me and my student loan bills! In addition, my friends who I enrolled with also got jobs within weeks of graduating! I would recommend the Professional Bartending School to anyone who is need of a job that is fun, flexible, and has good pay because with the help of the Professional Bartending School it is definitely within reach.

If you want to bartend, GO TO PBS!. I went to bartending school because I needed to make extra money on the side. I was also worried whether or not I would be able to get a job afterwards. It turned out that the course was super fun and I easily got a job in DC within a month of graduating. The instructors, job placement and sales people there are all awesome, giving me the best things to say about PBS. If you want to bartend, GO TO PBS!

Totally Worth It. I had no idea how useful and helpful the school would be to me even after though I graduated so long ago. The teachers used awesome mnemonic devices to help us learn over 120 drinks, taught us techniques to allow us to improvise and create our own drinks, and even gave us pointers on how to be a more personable/charismatic bartender for our patrons. As far as schooling is concerned, this school did an amazing job preparing me to bartend and has helped me tremendously after graduation. While I now bartend only very occasionally alongside my 9 to 5, the job placement guys keep e-mailing me, still knowing that I want to bartend the occasional private party, about various opportunities as such. It's a very comforting feeling because, even though the school teaches a ton of students, they still make personalized contacts for each and every one. If you want to learn about bartending and hope to become a bartender, this school is exactly what you need to prepare you for all aspects of providing the highest quality of service.

Worth every penny of tuition and more.. Professional Bartending School allowed me to accomplish my bartending goals within a quarter of the time that it probably would have taken me to accomplish them otherwise. Not only did they teach me everything I needed to know to be a fast and knowledgeable bartender within two weeks' time, but the job placement program they offer after graduation is invaluable. Literally every step I've taken up the bartending ladder I can trace back to information and leads provided by their job placement director.
