I have had a decades long relationship with American Service Center.They a fabulous to work with from new car purchase (I have bough 6 cars there.
The service is always exceptional and the team headed by Gary Little and my service rep Max Keya always does what they say they are going to do on time and on budget.The shop and service bay is al;ways clean and they treat you as part of the family.
The family run operation has the local touch and I look forward to working with them for year to come.

Pleased with the service. I have been very pleased with the service which Dave Smith has accorded me in ensuring that my car is serviced correctly and timely. Dave and Gary Burton have provided exemplary service to me since 2001. No matter which dealer I may acquire my Mercedes from, I'll always bring it to the American Service Center for service and maintenance because of Dave Smith and Gary Buirton.
Overall, a great experience. I have purchase three mercedes. That last two were specifically because of Dan Moreau, the best service person in the world. I told the sales person I would not purchase until Dan was my continual Service Manager. He is extremely personable, professional and most importantly is a huge Steelers fan, which is a major plus. Overall, a great experience over other deals in the DC Area I will be purchasing my next mercedes from ASC and will continue forward with Dan. Thx Dan and ASC for a great experience!-)
Very accommodating with test drive ESP with cars that had options I was interested in but not sure if I wanted. Greg made sure I was able to drive two different cars which combined had all options I was interested in. I ended up getting all the options I experienced and really like them. Jack Rolo spent a good hour discussing my options when my previous 15 year old Mercedes was needing to bre replaced. His insight and knowledge was invaluable in my decsion. He also enabled my old car to keep running till the new one I ordered arrived.
Dave Smith has been my service advisor for the past 10 years and has always been there for me. Has helped me so many times over the ten years I consider him a true professional and friend. He always keeps me uptodate on any service issues and bends over backwards to accommodate my schedule.
I will continue to take advantage of the excellent service I receive at ASC for my new 2011 Bluetec as well as my wife's 2008 300C class Luxary sedan.
This service center is the best in the area. This update is for the exceptional service that we continue to get at American Service Center. My last review was a little harsh, and was in the heat of the moment when I was paying almost $2000 for a new windshield. Mercedes took it upon themselves to personally call me and pay for my windshield. I also need to clear up my review on Hugh McGuire. He has always been a great help and always does his best to get the job done right on my vehicles. I have returned to ASC after many bad experience at other Mercedes dealers in our area, and will continue to do so as long as I own my Mercedes. This service center is the best in the area, and if you don't already have a service adviser, I suggest you go to Hugh, he will defiantly take care of you.
Efficient and best service. I have always had the best service from Dave, he is the only one I go to at your dealership. Prior to having my car serviced with you I had used others dealers and none of the service managers or service comes close to what Dave does. Dave is honest, upfront and very customer satisfaction oriented. He has built up a trust factor with me for any of the work that needs to be completed. He always handles my service very efficiently.
Great customer service. I live in DC. I use ASC because of the convenient location in Arlington, VA. I also like that a metro station is only a few blocks away from the dealership making it very convenient to drop-off and pick-up my Mercedes. ASC does offer pick-up and drop-off service as well as loaner vehicles if needed. I recently took my Benz in to have a window regulator replaced, which if you have owned more that 1 Mercedes you know this is a common problem. ASC was running a full vehicle interior and exterior beautification treatment special that I added on. I was astonished. It looked like a brand new car! They cleaned the interior and got out grime and dirt I thought would be there forever. I deal with Dave Smith as my Service Tech Advisor everytime I take my car in for service. He is the best. He knows my car better than I do and I consider myself a Benzo. The quality of work and atttention to detail ASC gives you and your vehicle from start to finish would make Mercedes' German engineers in Stuttgart proud if not a little jealous. ASC prices a very competetive even with independent non-certified vehicle repair shops but it is the customer service that ASC gives you which makes the choice clearly in their favor. When it comes time to buy my next Mercedes I will give ASC the opportunity and see if their sales department can hold a candle to their serivice department.
I have been taking my current used Mercedes to ASC since I first acquired it from a large multi-brand dealer chain. I wanted to try an actual MB dealer for service, and compare it to my prior--mostly bad--dealer service experiences with other brands. I've used ASC ever since that first repair, due to what has been superior customer service and excellent quality of repair.
From the time you pull into the garage-like, yet open service drop-off area, to the quick approach of an ASC associate to help you, all the way to the clean, repaired car you pick up, and the email/phone follow-ups, the service experience at ASC has been a world of difference from other dealer service I've had.
While that customer experience is all well and good, the quality of repair at ASC has been excellent. I don't recall *ever* having to take my car back because something wasn't done properly, or *ever* having to argue with anyone about things done that shouldn't have been done, or things not done that ought to've been done. And while that certainly should be the norm, my prior experience with dealer service--as well as most independent repair shops--marks this as particularly noteworthy.
I was lucky enough to have Dan Moreau as my first service advisor/assistant service manager, and I continue to call on Dan whenever I have service questions or issues to resolve. Dan has listened carefully to my questions and requests, and has answered honestly and thoroughly. Dan has also helped secure MB-USA coverage for items that might not--technically--be covered, but which an owner shouldn't really expect to pay for. (Overall, and happily so, this Mercedes has been far more reliable and even economical to maintain than either of two prior cars, a Honda and a VW.)
As with an earlier reviewer, I live in DC, and find ASC convenient to Metro. Should you not wish to walk the three blocks to/from the Ballston station (Orange line), ASC offers shuttle service.
I will certainly lean toward Mercedes for my next car, and will definitely continue to have them serviced at ASC.
Dave was completely professional and handled all of my needs and kept me completely informed throughout the entire process.
I will continue to use both of them and the dealership to service my Mercedes and highly recommend them to my fellow Mercedes owners.
