Not the best food but the beer was okay.
Beware of the menu as what you get is not always what the menu says. I was disappointed when my food arrived and told the waiter this was not what I expected based on what the menu had said. The Manager came over and I expalined the situation. I ordered something else but the young manager appeared to not be customer focused.
I would not eat hear again.
Beware!. On March 20, 2011 I contracted e.Coli food poisoning after eating the Tuna Steak at this restaurant. On April 4, 2011, the DC Health Dept conducted an inspection resulting from my complaint and found 4 CRITICAL violations including employees not washing hands and foods being kept at improper temperatures. I would give this less than one star if that was possible. No one should get this sick from food and 3 weeks later am still living with the longer term effects.
Citysearch Editorial Review. Capitol City Brewery isn’t your run-of-the-mill brew pub. It may be a local chain, with locations in Maryland, D.C., and Virginia, but thanks to its mahogany decor and vintage-looking wall murals, this establishment exudes class. It attracts a professional business crowd looking for standard bar fare such as wings, calamari and burgers and high-quality, handcrafted brews. The lunch crowd tends to be low-key with a mix of tourists, professionals and families; and the evening rush features happy hour groups unwinding from a day at the office. Capitol City boasts four different signature beers and one rotating seasonal blend, as well as myriad beers on tap and an endless bar selection.
