WORST FOOD EVER*HORRIBLE SERVICE-READ BEFORE YOUR ORDER. Do a Yahoo Search on this location 428 Hume Ave. Alexandria location before you order. My husband ordered a chicken parm hero which was delivered about 2 hours later and all burned. My chicken gyro which also appeared after 2 hours was nothing but a mountain of stale lettuce and mayo. No chicken whatsoever! When I called and complained I offered to settle for 2 slices of cheese pizza to replace my gyro. I was told the 2 slices would arrive in another hour. It has been over 12 hours since. I went to bed frustrated and HUNGRY! I plan to dispute the charge with Amex. Do yourself and favor and don't order from these people. They lack BOTH good food and integrity!

Awesome greasy pizza. Papa Joe's serves up indulgently trashy pizza and subs, with mounds of cheese, spare toppings, and pleasantly chewy breads. The mozzarella sticks would be excellent if they were thoroughly heated, while the veal cutlet on the parmesan sub is difficult to define as protein. Still, you can't beat the dirt cheap prices, the vaguely guilty pleasure you get when ordering from here, and the fact that the delivery guys will endure anything to make sure your order arrives (apparently delivery drama is common).
