Greasy, Limp hair. I left with greasy, limp hair, owed to the stylist's overuse of hair products and intense heat - two things that ordinary hair experts avoid (excessive heat and product). I sat under the dryer to have my hair dry after a wash, then was blow dried under a high setting ( I event saw the heat generated), and then had my hair flat ironed with a low-grade flat iron that could be purchased from Sally's Beauty Supply (no worries, I researched this.)

While straightening, the stylist used Organic Root Stimulator 'Olive Oil Hair Sheen' spray and 'B&B Pump It Up' spritz - both products can be purchased from the local CVS. I was highly disappointed because I expected PROFESSIONAL stylists to use high quality products, exclusive to hair salons. My hair was left a greasy, limp mess. I was so mad the next day, that I washed it all out. I've had better and wont be returning.

Great African-American Haircare. This is a great salon! Why? it is pretty, well maintained, great quality and variety of services, and professional business attitude. Barbers, stylist, braiders, natural or chemical treatments, they do it all! Sistah's Salon has been on the scene in Alexandria, VA since 1992 which says something about how us repeat clients value the business.
