Southside is definitely one of the greatest dining experiences you can find outside of downtown D.C. The southern-style food is really a treat for anyone. I personally love the honey jalapeno barbecue chicken sandwich, and the price on it is great. Everyone in your family can easily dine for less than $10 a person. The service is perfect as well. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised when you enter this one of a kind restaurants. PROS: Low prices, very good food, nice interior CONS: None

Southside 815 is a real gem in this city of overpriced fancy food. They feature a southern themed menu with portions big enough to feed a family. On top of that, it's one of the cheapest places you'll find in town, too. One of the most outstanding dishes is the Charleston Chicken, featuring a smothered chicken breast with collard greens and mashed potatoes. Their bar food is also delicious too, which complements the low drink prices found therein.
