Poor Quality and RUDE!!!. I gave this place several chances to show me they could do better, and each time I went it just got worse! This kennel is located behind the owners house, and that creates the biggest problem--she spends all day at HOME and no where near the dogs! When I board my dogs, I do so because I want them to get some interaction and supervision. What I got was my two big dogs shut in a cage, that was too small for them, and left unattended ALL day, except for 2 quick potty breaks.

They also offer grooming services--what a joke! She hoses down all the dogs together at 9:30 and then puts them into their cages--WET--and lets them air dry! The dogs are left in cages until 5:00 when the owners come to pick up. This leaves their fur looking very shaggy, and doesn't remedy the shedding--they get in my car with clumps of hair falling off of them, so then I have to vacuum the car! I complained several times about the way they looked after just being "groomed"; and the woman (owner/worker) was RUDE to me!!! (It wasn't until this last grooming that I asked her what SPECIFICALLY they DO when grooming, and that's how I found out about the air drying) The owner is ALWAYS rude to me and EVERYONE!!! I should have taken her gruff voice and short snippy answers on the phone as a warning and gone somewhere else. I feel bad for subjecting my dogs to that place. If the owner is mean and rough with ME, I am horrified to think about how she treated my dogs when I wasn't there. If you love your animals do NOT go to Spicewood!!!
