The first Hardee's opened as a walk-up burger restaurant in 1960 in Greenville, N.C. Today, the fast-food chain has locations across the United States and is spreading internationally. Big, beefy burgers--like the 1/3 pound Thickburger--are the stars, along with sides like fries, coleslaw, mashed potatoes and fried chicken. Breakfast offerings range from Made From Scratch Biscuits to Big Country Platters: biscuit, pancake, eggs, hash rounds and choice of bacon, ham or sausage.
Not like other Hardee's. I had been reading that Hardee's has had a facelift, offering high quality restaruant burgers in the form of fast food. I've been to a few of their restaurants while traveling, and found that their burgers are great. Living in Suburban Maryland, there aren't any Hardee's around. So I made the trip down to DC specifically for a Hardee's burger. And I was very disappointed. Their burgers were thin; the common fast food burgers. The vegetables were questionable. Very dissatisfied. Also, being in the bus station, it was a very low income area.
