Amazing dining with a breathtaking view. A group of friends and I stopped down by the Georgetown harbor one sunny summer after noon to enjoy drinks and appetizers by the water. I had not yet been to Sequoia but was pleasantly surprised upon arriving at their breathtaking view of the Potomac and Kennedy Center. The restaurant is worth going to based on location alone. With the option to enjoy fine dining inside or side outside by the water for drinks and food, you cannot go wrong with eating and drinking at Sequoia. On a nice summer day it is nice to get away from the hussle and bussle of M Street and enjoy the peacefulness down by the water. I recommend taking your food and drinks to their outside patio weather permitting!

Can't beat the view!.
Georgetown's waterfront is one of the best parts of DC, and Sequoia sits on one of its best pieces of real estate! Nothing really beats sipping a mimosa, watching the rowing teams practice, and the plane flying by overhead. However, Sequoia's service really hurt my overall experience. It took 20 mins after being seated to be greeted by a waiter, and then another 20 mins before we received our drinks. Luckily we were in no hurry, but it would have been a problem if we had been!
Do I see myself going back? Maybe...I'm a sucker for great waterfront views!
