Clyde's in Georgetown is the flagship location of this iconic D.C.-area chain; the restaurant was established on M Street in the early 1960s (when the less-settled area was still ruled by rowdy biker gangs) and has survived to this day to serve all-American classics amidst oil paintings and old-time posters in a stately dining room decorated in cherry wood and maroon booths.
