Young locals come to Bangkok Bistro for spicy classics such as Pad See Ew and Gang-Pah curry, though most dishes are not as fiery as in many Thai eateries. An elegant combination of lively color and creative space make for a sophisticated yet casual ambiance, without the bamboo and silk-screen decor found at some other Asian establishments. To start, try the chicken satay with peanut sauce, or the fried tofu, delicious with sweet-sour dipping sauce. Sample fresh creations from the sushi bar, or opt for one of the self-proclaimed “Famous Dishes”: the restaurant’s Sweet Surrender entree includes golden fried coconut shrimp in a sea of spicy mango sauce. Tasty ingredients and generous portions make Bangkok Bistro an excellent choice for a casual outdoor lunch or a special evening with friends.
