Fun Atmosphere pass on the Entrees. If you have never been to the Georgetown Waterfront its definitely a place to check out. Any afternoon of the week when the weather is nice there will be people out and through out the weekend the entire place is packed. Tony and Joe's is cool because its an outdoor bar right on the water so I good place for happy hour. But if you are looking to eat I'd recommend one of the other local restaurants.
Citysearch Editorial Review. Every restaurant in D.C. has its claim to fame: best ribs, best people-watching, best bathrooms (really). But Tony and Joe’s on the Georgetown waterfront is unrivaled in what locals call "vibe." As rowers drift by on the Potomac, diners savor the unrivaled vista: The Kennedy Center, the Watergate, and the Washington monument dominate the skyline on the open-air dining patio. To make the most of the 200 seats in its signature space, the restaurant requires that diners seated outdoors order a full meal. Charlie Bauer, the executive chef of acclaimed Rockfish in Annapolis, is on staff and helps crank out fine-dining favorites for seafood and landlubber lovers.
Skip Tonys!!!. I took my boyfriend to Tony and Joe's for his birthday the other night and neither of us will ever be back. The food was horrible! I had talapia and he had stuffed shrimp. Neither entree had much taste pluse, it was cold. The service was ok and the atmosphere is nice with the river right by, but the food is definitly not worth it. The prices are high as well.
