Its like Europe!.
A little bit of Belgium in DC. OK, so its not Brussels, but L’Enfant (slightly confusingly, as its not really close to L’Enfant Plaza) intimates a European café fairly well. A pretty exposed-brick interior, revolution-red umbrellas festooning an outdoor patio, and a respectable list of Belgian and European beers, including several outstanding bottled Trappist brews – though they seem to be out of a few of them at any given time. L’enfant wouldn’t be Belgian without its savory crepes and thrice-sauced frites. Stop by on Tuesdays for happy hour on Belgian beers, really the reason you come. Unless, of course, it was when I stopped by during a snowstorm, and the manager and some friends danced to cacophonous Europop on the bar.

Great Happy Hour.
Tuesday happy hours at L'Enfant mean great beer at half-price - and very good appetizers for $4. Add to that a vibrant vibe and you have the recipe for a perfect after-work-and-weekend spot. My friend and I tried one of the "Trappist" beers (made by Belgian monks) and were wowed. The waiter said it was the lightest one but I found it to be wonderfully complex and felt as if i lost zero man points by having such a light beer.
