Best Mexidorian. In a tasty role reversal, Haydee is behind the bar and her husband in the kitchen. Come to Haydee’s for dinner, or better, a festive post-bar meal. Live music and dancing on weekend evenings makes for a raucous, celebratory atmosphere, though this could also be from the drunken revelers in the window booth, or the sullen guy in the corner nursing his Negra Modelo. The food is respectable, with plenty for even the herbivores among us. Haydee’s offers your classic combos of meat+cheese+vegetables in a tortilla, plus some regional delicacies like fried sweet plantains – and most of the menu is under $10. Perfect for late-night munchies and wondering which of your fellow diners is going to crawl on stage and dance with the entertainment.
