Sports and Pool and Beer. Located in a sprawling Dupont basement, Buffalo Billiards doesn’t get much natural light, but this is offset by the bright TVs across the bar, broadcasting major (and minor) sporting events. With pool, darts, and shuffleboard, among other bar games BB is a place full of low-impact physical activities, perfect to accompany one – or a few – beers. The menu is full of palatable bar food, but BB is good for large groups and parties, and at least gives you the opportunity to stand up and move your arms while drinking.
Citysearch Editorial Review. Whether playing or watching, there's no shortage of game-related entertainment options at Buffalo Billiards, the popular Dupont Circle pool hall situated just below the Front Page. The cavernous underground bar’s game offerings include pool, shuffleboard, darts and two Nintendo Wiis, while spectators may opt to grab a beer and lounge in front of one of the countless TVs on a large couch or from a table while munching on pub grub. Sports fans flock to Buffalo Billiards on game days to take in a plethora of college and professional football, baseball, basketball and other action on the four, 10-foot projection screens. Rotating food and drink specials, lots of seating (large side rooms are often reserved for alumni groups) and a respectable beer selection make the bar a relaxing after-work group destination, although the primarily early-20s clientele can get rowdy later in the night on the weekends.
