Great attention to details

I enjoyed leisure lunch a couple of weeks ago. The seasoning is just right in all their food is just right, overall it wasn't salty like many other restaurants.
Paella took a while to arrive, but I guess when you are making it to order, there's no way around it.
Decor is very traditional and classic, so atmosphere can be a bit stuffy. As for the food, it's well prepared. Servers are well trained.
Terrible experience

I ate here with a friend. The food was decent, and it is a pretty room. For DC, this is an upper-end of the spectrum restaurant. Sadly, I was so absorbed in conversation with my friend I signed the receipt without noticing that I had been charged an extra $250 for a bottle of wine we had never ordered. I went back the next day and the restaurant removed the charge after much argument, but the experience left a very sour taste.
- Pros: Decent food
- Cons: Charged for $250 bottle of wine not ordered
Always delightful cuisine!

This is my favorite restaurant. Others may come and go, hot or not, but this establishment is tried and true, always steady and excellent. You can count on Taberna Del Alabardero for outstanding food and impeccable service. I have taken family, friends, and even a boss to this restaurant and never have I been disappointed. You really must go and try it out - - it will be the best present you can give yourself. The cuisine of Spain at its best.
