Mere bheiti and i went there last week to break rosa. The food was nearly as as good as my amma's and resonably priced. The service was, as you can expect in indian restaurants, mediocre but acceptable. One dude had a mild attitude for some reason. Our water glasses were always filled up quickly and our beer was good and cold. They had flat screens that played sports which i found out of place (like mgmt was sucking up to the whites there) in a desi joint. Instead, if managment is reading this, i suggest they play a wicked mix of bangra and bollywood vidioes (only the ones with decently dressed women, desi sluts would ruin the wholesome family atmosphere that i liked).

I have seen the comments regarding the service, but have never experienced any issues myself. The food is great and I have never seen items run out in the 10+ times I have been at the Fairfax, Herndon, or Chantilly locations. In my experience, a new bowl of food is being brought out when the current one still has a bit left in it. There are only two complaints I would have about any of these 3 restaurants that I have visited. First is that the food at the Chantilly location doesn't tend to be as spicy as the other two and I like the spicier food. Second is that the Fairfax location seems to be kind of poor at restocking their beer selection (this was experienced during 3 of the 4 times I have gone there for dinner).

Owners attitude is quite horrible. Most Indian customers are not treated well and their credit cards are not accepted if they eat for less than $20. I went with few American friends, they took the cards without any hesitation.. They buffet often runs out of items and when asked the owner just ignored our request and coolly walked away. His attitude was disgusting and hurting, I will never visit again.
