Citysearch Editorial Review. Comet is a haven for hipsters looking to grab a slice of pie and play some ping-pong before watching a live show by an up-and-coming local band. It’s also ideal for young parents who still want to hang out in the cool neighborhood artsy joints while simultaneously be able to entertain their kids with a childhood game and America’s favorite food. The Van Ness restaurant is nothing fancy with its battered picnic table-like seating, and the locals wouldn’t have it any other way.
