Great Atmosphere, food, and service!. After a wine tasting event, my girlfriends and I went here for a quick, late night dinner. We didn't get there til 9:45 and it was a Tuesday night. However, they gladly sat us and provided quick service. With it being so late, I opted for a soup and salad. I don't like to eat huge meals that late at night. However, my girlfriend's were definitely starving. They both ordered steak dinners. While we waited, we munched on the spicy peanuts that were brought to the table. We had to get seconds within a few minutes. So good! Our meals were delivered in a timely manner and the portions were huge! So glad I stuck with the soup/salad. I did however taste the steak and it was very tender and juicy. The only options the server offered for sides were mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. They were brought out on cast iron skillets for the table to share. Even though you couldn't pick and choose, they were bottomless and very tasty. After the meal, small peanut butter/chocolate nuggets were delivered with the check. Perfect size for just a nibble of something sweet without ordering a whole dessert.

I loved the decor. It was bright, fresh and inviting. The location is also key. It's in Courthouse which is close to just about any kind of place you want ranging from bars, movies, to shopping.

I cannot wait to go back and actually order a steak! It'll definitely be sooner rather than later. If you're dying for a great steak at a great price, you must check out Ray's.

PS- Ray's Hell Burger across the street is amazing as well. Huge juicy burgers with tons of fresh toppings. Beware, it's cash only and can get super packed. But that place is worth a shout out too!

#1 Steak Spot!. For my friend's birthday recently we decided to celebrate a fun Girls' Night Out doing dinner at Ray's the Steaks. I am continually hearing great things about this place and needed to try it out for myself. Let me start by saying.. you cannot go to this restaurant and not order the Crab Bisque. Its like dying and going to heaven. One of the best things I have had in a long time, its a must have on the menu. Follow that starter up with any of their steaks and you are golden. Although the prices may be a little high, its totally worth it for the meal. Each steak comes with a family style portion of potatoes (heaven) and creamed spinach. Not only is Rays the Steaks great for dates its a perfect place to celebrate any occasion. Make sure to make a reservation because they are packed, every night, all the time...and rightfully so!

Best Steaks in DC. Ray's has the best steaks in town. They recently moved to a new location and all of the issues regarding parking, ambiance, and over crowding have been resolved.
