15 years I have celebrated a welcoming place that is no more. Tonight for the first time in 15 years I was thrown out of Cobalt. I sat through all of the good times. There was a security guard whom saw me walk out of the bar then proceeded to harass me as I walked back in then insisted not to call Mark the manager whom I have known for more than 15 years. Its appalling that gays in DC tolerated this kind of harassment from the security guards. they coincidentally lost my rabbit lined hat which my friend returned to retrieve.

I would not recommend it until they learn to deal with their staff.

Let Your Pride Show!. One of the best gay bars along the 17th Street Strip. Some of the best happy hour deals during the week ($1 rail drinks!!!) and open bar on Fridays (for a few hours) with a small cover charge. This is a great place to meet hot gay men and of course, the "yard sale" after the bars close in case you didn't meet someone during business hours. The first floor of Cobalt is called Level One and serves "Disco Brunch" with unlimited Mimosas or unlimited Bloody Marys with a Bloody Mary bar where you can add fix-ins like olives, celery, etc.
