Laid back and great prices!. I have been going here with my parents and friends for the past two years. We usually go on Karaoke nights, which recently have been Friday, Saturday and Monday. They have a great family karaoke on Monday nights.

The people that come in are laid back and very friendly!

Most of the people on Karaoke nights are the same bunch, so once you join the family you are part of it!

The prices on drinks are cheaper then most places and the food is typical bar food, but it tastes great!

Poor Choice for a Night Out. My whole family used to go to this bar/restaurant at least once a month for dinner and to enjoy the people and the entertainment provided, but it became a very large poor choice. In recent months the staff and the food have truly gone down in a very poor way. The service has gone far below par and the food is no longer that wonderful home cooking but a menu of frozen fast food disapointments!

I have read the reviews listed and I have to agree with most of them and it is ashame to find out that they lost there wonderful cook due to none payment for her talents.

What kind of business can serve there community properly if they can not serve there employee's. Clearly there owners need to take a good look at there business instead of going on vacation all the time.

This is a very sad ending to what once was a great hole in the wall local bar where everyone knew each other and you knew walking in the door you were going to have a great night.

Opened Since 1955, Run by these folks, 2007.. I was also a patron at Sam's, and I must say I would agree with the negative reviews. I was a regular there and a well paying patron until the staff they use became incompetent and rude.

First, funny that Jeff praises the place yet only gives it 3 stars. Second, I also loved the food there until the only decent cook they had quit because she was not receiving payment as agreed. No one works for free.

Also, KK were barred (barred spelled correctly!!) from Sam's for calling out a bartender for stealing. Not sure that was a good move on management's part financially.

Barred from most places in Laurel? Really, please name them for they are welcome in all of Laurel.

Jeff, next time, write your own review or have the person who wrote this be brave enough to use their own name.

Finally, thanks for the review to inform my friend's that they are barred from your establishment as no one from your staff ever informed them of that. They had stopped going, as well as myself, as their choice. You cannot really bar those who voluntarily do not frequent your place.

Open since 1955. I had to laugh out loud when I read the review from Ken and Kendra. They were bared from this establishment, twice.

They certainly had no problem with the place when they were allowed in. They often ordered dinner to eat in and carryout!!

They have been barred from most places in Laurel, including the American Legion. I understand thier new digs are a Moose Lodge in another town. They won't last there either.

$POOR$ Unfortunate Souls. Bailout Food Prices and Double Price Drinks!

Usually the food is two to three times cooked over. Forfieting flavor asnd quality. We have found that drinks are DOUBLE the price at Sam's than anywhere else we frequent to include happy hour and the like, such as weekends. Bartenders are caddy. They lack professionalism and warm hospitality towards Sam's patrons. We recommend not to practice any freedom of speech inside or outside Sam's property. We have had memorable times and some very unfavorable memories at Sam's over the past. It is unfortunate that it has fallen to such demise.

Bottom of the Barrel People. Waitresses forgot to put our food orders in. We had a party of ten, and it took over an hour to get food. By the way, food is not worth waiting an hour for, and leaves a lot ot be desired.

The waitresses are more concerned for their own entertainment than the patrons happiness. Crowd is very aged and, unless you are into bluegrass and serious old-time karaoke, do not expect to be entertained. The bar and establishement as a whole, is very old and worn out. Bar is cruddy and it is like being in your grandfather's basement.

My advice, move onto somewhere else.
