Worst move ever

This company should be called Ten Marines and Two Trucks because that's what it took for them to move my standard 2-bedroom apartment.
The entire move was a fiasco. They overcharged us by at least $1500 and damaged every item they touched. After disputing the moving charges with the company they offered us $1300 to settle our claim - this doesn't even cover the damage to our furniture, let alone the amount of time they overcharged us for the move. I would NEVER recommend this company for a move.
This was definately my best move ever

I found a listing for Two Marines and a Truck on Angie's List and reached out to them because they were rated so highly. I clicked the link and was sent to their site where I became instantly impressed with what they did and the fact that there appeared to be flexibility on their part. I sent an email on Tuesday evening, 5/11/10 and heard back from them on Thursday, 5/13/10.
With such short notice, I was not sure that they would be able to meet my request to move furniture on Sundy 5/16/10, but they were glad to do it. The rep who called me was very polite and professional and explained their approach and their pricing structure which I thought was very reasonable.
The day before, I received a voicemail to confirm. The day of the move, they called to let me know they were on the way. They arrived about 1/2 hour late but I know that was due to an accident on 95N.
When they arrived, they introduced themselves (Onslow and Dan) and proceeded to do a walkthrough to see what needed to be moved. They explained what they would do prior to doing it. They wrapped everything before loading it in the truck. When they ran into a problem getting my desk out of the house, they found a solution that did not damage my furntiture.
They met me at the apartment and set up my furniture as I requested. They were not only curteous, they were also efficient, profesional, and quick. The entire move took less than three hours!!! I will call them again when I need to move a delicate china cabinet!!
- Pros: Clean cut, uniformed, and the move was damage free
- Cons: a little late, but they let me know there was bad traffic
