beer... and crowds.
Churchkey in Logan Circle is bar whose opening I looked forward to as if it were Christmas, like Meridian Pint a few blocks north. Largely it has delivered on its promises; I just wish I could afford
to go more often.
It's best on an offnight. Otherwise, if you can get to the bar, there is a smorgasbord at your fingertips. The bartenders here are really conversational and will let you try things before you buy a full pint. If you like to taste new things, you'll love Churchkey.
They have a great selection of specialty beers such as cask ales and sour ales. If you like sours, you should try my friend Jean's favorite one: petrus oud bruin.
The mac'n'cheese nuggets are also amazing!…
mmmmm. Beer.
The biggest problem with Churchkey is that other people in this city know about it.
The beer choices are amazing, and even on a really crowded night (which is most) the bartenders will take the time to help you find a beer that you will like.
The smaller size tasting options for all the beers means that you can try more, which is a great option. The changing beer list is also a plus, as every time you stop by there is something new to try.
I definitely recommend stopping by if you are a beer lover.…
I feel like a cooler person by just knowing about Churchkey.
Churchkey delivers with ease what so many pubs in DC fail miserably at. Providing a welcoming, relaxing, and truly enjoyable drinking and socializing experience.
From the well paired and balanced beer selection to the low lit ambiance of the bar, Churchkey creates an environment that fosters not only good libations, but good times,
Amazing bar food and attentive and patient wait staff make Churchkey all the more enjoyable for even the most "un-hip" or novice of beer drinkers.…
Beer joint that has it all.
Churchkey's draft beer selection is fantastic with about 40 different beers on tap. There is also a book thicker than War and Peace filled with the most unique bottle selections around.
The atmosphere is pretty vibrant, and it gets crowded, so come early to grab a seat at the bar and you won't be disappointed. The bar is beautifully crafted, the seats lush and comfortable, and the staff super chill.
The flat bread pizzas hold their own and the fries and gravy are ridiculous! There are also tv's for sports and above average seating aside from the bar.…
