Citysearch Editorial Review.
Owner Rahim Alami managed Pentagon City's Lebanese Taverna for seven years before opening H Street's pan-Mediterranean restaurant Souk--his first foray as chef as well. Alami, from Morocco, grew up in the restaurant business--his grandmother was chef for a French colonial family, and her influence is present on the menu here, like the watermelon Souk salad (she introduced him to the concept of fruit with greens). Alami is at the restaurant each morning by 6am and cooks everything himself--the small, red-tiled kitchen is open to the eight-table dining room so he interacts with customers, too, when he's not busy dishing up chicken shawarma or making hummus from scratch.
Do you have a review of Souk on your blog? If you include the Citysearch image
link (shown below) in your post, we'll automatically link to your review from the
business profile page. Here's how our Linkback system works:
1. Include our image link in your Souk review blog post.
2. Citysearch will notice that you're linking to one of our pages. We'll scan your blog.
3. We'll show a link to your blog post from the Souk page on Citysearch.
