This multi-level club near Mt. Vernon square is hard to miss--purple lights and a pulsing mix of hip-hop, reggae and dancehall radiate down the block. Well-dressed revelers can expect everything from the big game (there are nine flat-screen TVs) to a bumping dance floor. While Friday happy hours occasionally feature an open bar, this is more of a place to see-and-be-seen than a casual bar for a beer and a game. Drinks are pricey--but strong. Upstairs, lights change hues on exposed brick walls backing sleek leather couches. There you'll find a raised DJ booth and a stage--the club hosts live music some evenings--and the tiled dance floor and mirrored walls downstairs make the booty-shaking area a favorite later in the evening.
