Wok & Roll – I have to give credit to Sushi Rock, their presentation is awesome! The menu looks like set-lists, each dish is named after a rock song or band, and the decor was very rock-ish. We got the "Woodstock" appetizer (some sort of take on Japanese nachos), it was good, but I might skip it next time. For our actual rolls we got their Spicy Tuna, "Stairway to Heaven" and "Light my Fire" - they were each good and spicy! They service was SLOW and the waiter didn't know a lot about the food or drinks he was serving us, but I'll let it slide this time since the place is still relatively new!
Citysearch Editorial Review – Sushi Rock, located in the Japanese-restaurant starved area of Court House Metro, is an eatery with an identity crisis. On one hand, the theme is knock-you-over-the-head clear. Two-story-sized photos of rock gods hang on the red and black painted walls along with guitars and oversized metal chains. Servers and staff wear all black and seem to be encouraged to don ripped and worn jeans. On the other hand, Sushi Rock serves very little raw fish. Patrons can order anything from lamb chops topped with a Cheez Wiz-like sauce to deep-friend wontons drenched in chili to maki rolls with bacon and pineapple. Sushi Rock has a unique atmosphere and an unusual sushi menu, but the roll selections, with arbitrary names such as “Dream On” and “Purple Haze” are head-scratchers.
