Awesome vibe, good food, great place to gab. I've been here on weekends and weekdays and they never fail to provide me with an excellent experience. The fish tacos are off the chain, the DJ's are awesome and the outdoor beer garden is cozy yet seems larger with the open door setup that leads to the downstairs bar. Good place to bring anybody who doesn't like hanging out at formula establishments. a true neighborhood bar.

Food not so great. Food is not great and overpriced..It's basically a disco with food.

Citysearch Editorial Review. Petworth's Looking Glass Lounge is a quintessential neighborhood watering hole. The Prohibition-inspired space offers two bars--one upstairs and one downstairs--plus a beer garden out back. Snagging a table (either high-top or booth) is easy unless it's Tuesday night and time for trivia, one of the bar's most beloved traditions; at the casual, friendly place it's not unusual for total strangers to team up to tackle a round of questions with topics such as early 80s monster ballads. A cousin of Columbia Heights' Wonderland Ballroom, the bar also offers other community favorites, such as comedy nights, live music on Sundays and happy hour specials (including late-night deals and discounts on hipster faves such as Jim Beam and Natty Boh) tailor-made for the young, cool crowd.
