Not recommended – Bouncers were rude and unprofessional, manager did not answer phone for a long time and eventually did not resolve the problem, owner never returned phone call; I will not ever go there again nor will I recommend it to anyone else.

Chic and Trendy Pan-Asian – The famous/infamous Buddha Bar finally opened in DC recently; for myself it was a mix of experiences. I like the dark, lounge-like atmosphere with Asian influenced decor and the music is pretty bumpin'. But if you're expecting a nice, quiet dinner don't come here because after a certain time the music does get fairly loud and the lights go dim to the point that you almost can't find the way to the bathroom. The food is good, though not spectacular and not really up to par with it's high prices - I've had their curry bento box which is a good deal at $29 and fairly flavorful with 2 different curries, rice, chutney and a sauteed vegetable. Expect to spend your whole night dining and experiencing Buddha Bar though - they're still trying to work out the kinks in terms of timely service.

Citysearch Editorial Review – This larger-than-life restaurant and lounge has the grandeur of a posh Vegas hot spot with a simultaneously Washingtonian, equal-access vibe. There's no list, cover charge, or even designated dance floor, though patrons have been known to shake it near their seats as the spirit (or DJ, suspended in a mod white box above the sweeping space) moves them. Bottle service is available but not needed to snag one of the stylish low settees, upholstered in rich red hues and luxe fabrics. Triple-tiered light fixtures and cathedral ceilings with floor-skimming drapes add to the drama, but the focal point is the giant, eponymous statute sitting sagely in the dining room, where patrons feast on the pan-Asian menu and indulge in some of the bar's exotic cocktails.
