The latest list-only destination for Georgetown's younger, preppier crowd is George, a bar tucked into the courtyard behind Cafe Milano.

I had an AWESOME time. After 5 years in the city I think I finally found my favorite bar. George is a great place to meet friends for an early drink, listen to good music all the way to the end of the night when you find yourself murdering the Dance floor with some beautiful babe. The bartenders were great and always remembered my tab the whole night. Back Bar Biggers poured me the best shot of Jamo I have ever had!

Citysearch Editorial Review. George caters to an upscale crowd of young 20-somethings in Georgetown. The bar is tucked into a courtyard on Prospect Street, and is spacious, dim and alluring. The decor nods to Mr. Washington himself, with an enormous brass bar, dark wood and large studded leather stools, but it's not all stuffy--George also offers plenty of room and music for dancing. Bartenders are quick, attentive and attractive to boot. There is a strict list, so revelers should know someone who can get them in. Sure, drinks are pricey--think $11 for a Ketel One and soda--but that’s to be expected with the beautiful and wealthy (although not snooty) crowd.
