This Logan Circle restaurant (from the same team behind Penn Quarter's Proof) specializes in tapas from northern Spain. With the exposed brick and stone work contrasting with the mosque-like tiling, rustic wood and exposed piping overhead, it’s a historical-feeling, texture-rich setting. Well-heeled patrons convene at high tables around Estadio’s lively central bar--the sangria and slushitos (think slushies) are not to be missed. Seats with a view of the open kitchen offer a behind-the-scenes peak at the creation of such delights as Spanish tortillas, montaditos (open-faced sandwiches) and savory skewers. For something lighter, try a plate of cheeses and cured meats; you'll want to save room for desserts such as the sherry float or chocolate and cherry bread pudding.
