Citysearch Editorial Review. The Fruit Bat is a tiny, narrow, dimly lit Latin-American themed dive bar where brave customers can choose-their-own-adventure with fruit-infused cocktails. First pick a base liquor, than add a liqueur and a fruit juice of choice. The less adventurous can try a variety of true Brazilian cocktails such as the caipirinha--a mix of sugar, rum, and lime. Bartenders also keep things interesting with unique house-infused drink creations such as tequila with watermelon and thyme and cherry vodka with cucumber and sake. The adult fruit smoothies are super popular as well, with new flavors every week. For eats, the Fruit Bat keeps things as authentic as possible, offering a small menu of Latin American street food such as sweet potato fries with house-made mango ketchup and pork tacos.
