Citysearch Editorial Review.
From a brick rowhouse on a Bloomingdale street corner, Beau Thai gives neighbors a flavorful, fresh takeout option at a good price. The menu consists of standby noodle and fried rice dishes as well as green, red, panang and massaman curries, but Beau Thai ups the ante with house-made sauces of fresh chilis and ginger and ingredients imported from Thailand. Two unique items are “Scott’s favorite,” lemon-marinated chicken topped with crispy lemongrass, and savory duck rolls. Look for experimental fare as specials; general manager Aschara Vigsittaboot aims to tempt locals in frequently for a relaxing meal at the end of the day with Beau Thai’s focus on “beautiful” food.
