I opted for Clear Internet Service. I opted for Clear Internet Service and Clear Voice for our home. The combo price, even after the special rate expires will save us $20/month. I replaced Earthlink and the most basic AT&T land line service. We get 3 or 4 bars of Clear signal consistently in our East Point neighborhood.
Stuck!. It has very bad service here in Jacksonville and they lock you into a two year contract. You have 10 days to try it and if you are 1 minute past that you are stuck. Customer service is terrible. I am shocked he would recommend this service. I would stay away from them if I were looking for a new iSP
No increases Ever!!!. So far it's fantastic. It works really well in my condo, and I'm now using it at work for the first time, and it's coming through great. I just got the mobile, and that'll do me just fine for $45 a month, no taxes, no increases ever!
HORRIBLE. I’ve been a clearwire user for almost two years, thank god it’s almost over, HORRIBLE service, and of course you gotta love yur internet being throttled….wow I love that feature.
no on-hold time. The technical support of Clear is good. They answered quickly with literally no on-hold time. Their native tongue was American English, and they spoke it very clearly and understandably. Not like robots. Anyway, the problem has been resolved and clear internet service really is the best so far.
speed has slowed to a craw. I have had Clear for several months now. Worked great in winter with no leaves on trees. Now in spring download speed has slowed to a crawl. Technical support has kept me on the phone for many hours and now wants to send a technician to my house just to tell me the leaves on the trees are icausing the problem. I want to be released from my contract or I plan to call the FCC and BBB to file a complaint.
Clearwire is cheap service. Clearwire is cheap service...initially cheap. The company wouldn't allow me to stop my service until I proved that I had a one year contract (not 2)...thankfully I had a copy of the contract. They charged me many misc fees that weren't in the original contract, including a restocking fee. They said even though it wasn't in my contract, it was new and company wide and there was nothing they could do about it.
I just cancelled my service with Clear Wireless in Houston T. I just cancelled my service with Clear Wireless in Houston Texas. To me it's the worst service ever. They will led you to believe that they have services in a particular area on a 3G network tru Sprint or any other provider but its a BIG LIE. they run a scam and get you to pay pro rated amount even when you want to cancel, which to them is a money at hand, right. I will advise anyone that wants to buy a Broadband service to stay clear of Clear wireless product.
really fast.
A sales guy stopped by my place in St Johns and gave me a demo. It was really fast because they have just installed a transmitter (or node or whatever you call it) in the neighborhood. I appreciate the fact that they're providing access out here, away from city center where the cell companies can't even be bothered to provide complete coverage. I hope they do a better job than MetroFi (what a disaster).
I have comcast on an intro deal that Clear can't beat, but will probably switch when it's over. The sales guy was good: He knew how to take no for an answer, so will probably get a call from me later.
