Great place to grab lunch.
West Wing Cafe joins the ranks of the Great Sandwich and Salad Horde of Federal Triangle. Within a two-block radius are two Potbellies, an Au Bon Pain, Penn Deli, Phillip's Cafe, a Firehook, a Cosi, Organic To Go, Devon and Blakely, a Quiznos, a Subway and two Soho Cafes.
The difference? West Wing uses Boar's Head deli meat, which is COMFORTING because it is a NAME BRAND and I can expect some level of standardization.
I am utterly apathetic to their sandwiches. Sandwiches bore me. I do, however, like their smoothies which are delicious, although not as delicious or cheap as a Potbelly milkshake. They may be less fatty as well, although that might just be me trying to rationalize my consumption so as not to be disgusted with my pending obesity. The smoothies have vainglorious and chronoreferential names, like "Dusk Buster", "Daytime Zinger" and "Midnight Splendor".
Tip: Ask them not to put honey in your smoothie. They are disgustingly sweet otherwise.
