Use at your own RISK!!! I had my 2006 Porsche 911S Cabriolet towed to the German Auto Group (GAG) from Laurel, Maryland to have two radiator fans and a resistor replaced. I asked them to fix a seat belt light problem, a heated seat problem and replace the trunk release cable. While in the shop, they replace my two rear tires with two new Dunlop tires. In addition, I asked them if they could switch out a PCM system that I purchased on Ebay that week. They said they could.
After waiting almost a week, they informed me they could not get the PCM to work. They said it registered a code that said stolen. I immediately contacted the seller, and he assured me that it came from one of the cars in his businesses inventory and asked me to go to another dealer. I contacted a dealer, and they informed me they would have to research the codes for the PCM, unlock it, and then it could be installed. I asked GAG when I could pick up my car (I expected everything to be finished except the PCM.) They reinstalled my old PCM, and said my car would be ready for pick up on July 17, 2012.
When I went to pick the car up and after I paid the cashier, the service representative, quietly told me that in putting in the PCM, they accidently scratched and cut the leather on the dash and two warning lights now come up above the steering panel when starting the car. He said GAG didn't have time to fix the glitch, but when I bring it back, GAG will fix it. By Saturday July 21, I noticed my passenger side rear new tire was deflated. I took it to the gas station and put air in it. I also attempted to pull the top back on the convertible to no avail. He said he checked the tire and found no leaks. I reminded him that I had put the fix flat before driving to the shop. He said they couldn’t check it until it was flat again. I specifically asked is it safe to drive the car with the tire fix in it. He assured me it would be safe, and I left without the car.
After arriving I received the keys to my car, got in and noticed a fast food container filled with mashed potatoes and gravy in the passenger side of my car. I open up my car door in disgust and threw it in the driveway in front of the entrance to the shop and took off. Just before I exited the site, I attempted to open the top and found it did not operate properly.
I turned the vehicle around and got Rep to show him my car was not completed as he stated. He tried to open it, and it did not work for him. He called a mechanic who got it to open and close but could not get the windows to close automatically when the top was open and the button was still engaged.
I asked him did someone eat lunch in my car? He said no. So, I showed him the mashed potatoes I threw on the ground and told him I found on the front seat. Before I left, I set the odometer to measure my distance. When I left the car it registered 40 miles. When I picked it up, it said 50 miles. I asked Rep did someone test-drive my car; he said no. I told him that the car now has ten extra miles registered on its odometer. Needless to say less than 6 hours after picking up the car from this shop, the tire was deflated and my rear rim was destroyed. Thank God my lady and me were not driving on the highway at the time. Based on their lack of professionalism and constant problems with service credibility, I would not recommend this shop to anyone who values their life or their vehicle.
I could not be happier with the service. All the staff I have come across have been polite, professional, and skilled at their chosen profession.
Much appreciated – I am just so appreciative to have found German Auto Group. This is a reliable and hardworking shop that really does care about their customers. I have been bringing my cars here for the past few years now and have only received exceptional service from Sami and the staff.
good job – I highly recommend the crew at German Auto Repair. I was referred by a friend when I moved and needed some service. I recently brought in my '99 Mercedes CLK in for an oil change which was done quickly and much cheaper than my old service place, will be back.
Good job – It is so hard to find an honest and reliable used auto repair facility these days. This place is one of the few remaining honest service centers!
Keep up the great service – I've been a loyal customer for 4 years. Great customer service! Great prices! Honest! I have never let anyone service my car but German Auto Group.
very fine – I took my care to another BMW repair shop and had to go back several times just to get a tail light properly fixed. My experience with German Auto has been that they fix the repairs right the first time, every time. I will never go anywhere else again.
good conecting skiles – Thank you so much for your help! I really appreciate since I do not know much about cars.
Will be back – Sami has a great personality and good to work with.
