Tips for National Museum of Crime and Punishment

4.0
August 09, 2010

Creepy Theme, But Very Fascinating Museum. Not that I'm a big CSI or Law and Order fan, but I really enjoyed the Museum of Crime and Punishment. The stories that the exhibits tell and the displays the museum shows range from cool to downright scary but it's all incredibly fascinating nonetheless. The museum starts with crime stories going all the way back to the beginnings of the country, through the Wild West (i.e. Billy the Kid), up to the gangsters of the 20s (Al Capone), and up the present-day crimes. You'll learn about actual serial killers that terrorized America, what really goes on during an autopsy, and even see where America's Most Wanted is filmed. The content in the museum may be too scary (even graphic) for children, but adults will definitely enjoy it and learn a lot. And if you're kind of squeamish and easily scared like me, opt to go during the daytime.
