Excellent upscale dining and cuisine.
Brunch is fantastic at Poste. Located in the Hotel Monaco, it's a hidden gem in downtown DC. It's also comforting to know that most of their food and ingredients have been sourced from local farms and vendors. Dinner and happy hour at Poste is excellent, too. Try to go while the weather is still warm to enjoy the outdoor courtyard. It's the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day.

Upscale Dining at a good price.
Recently I was asked to meet someone for lunch at Poste Brasserie in the Penn Quarter area. Having always loved Kimpton Hotels and Restaurants I was delighted to have the opportunity to try out this restaurant. I tend to only treat myself to a more expensive lunch every once in a while to try out new places in town. I choose the homemade pasta at Poste and have to say I was very excited to try this dish. As much as I loved my choice, I was excited to see some of the other options come out to my fellow guests and now look forward to trying out a few more dishes there on my next lunch adventure. I highly recommend stopping by Poste for an afterword drink, lunch with some clients or even dinner with a friend. The modern decor and convenient location make this a great dinning and meeting location.

Poste.
This is my go-to place for dates and special events, especially birthdays. The lounge area is great for gathering with friends for cocktails with its sleek interior and cozy sitting areas and the dining portion of the restaurant is perfect for an intimate dinner with the soft lighting that isn't too bright. The food is incredible, creative, and different each and every time I come in here to dine, I have a hard time making decisions so I usually go with what's on the specials menu.
