Best Hotel Experience I've Ever Had.
My partner and I spent my birthday weekend at the Park Hyatt Washington DC from 28-30 August. We actually live in DC, but thought it might be fun to escape to a hotel for the weekend. Every member of the staff went out of his or her way to ensure that it was a memorable weekend. We ate dinner twice at the Blue Duck Tavern and had friends join us for Sunday Brunch.
So far this year I have 51 stays with Starwood, have made Hyatt Diamond, and stayed at various high-end boutique hotels like Sanctuary in Scottsdale, AZ; however, I have never had as wonderful an experience as the weekend at the Park Hyatt Washington DC. Our room was very nice, but what made the weekend so incredible, was the staff. In particular, the service we received at the Blue Duck and provided by German Broggi was out of this world.
We had planned to stay at the Four Seasons in Tokyo; however, we canceled our rooms to stay at the Park Hyatt Tokyo because of the service we received at this hotel.
The Park Hyatt brand has certainly won my loyalty.
A taste of luxury in close proximity to historical and shopping highlights..
This luxury property has played host to visiting royalty, politicians and celebrities throughout its history. It offers impeccable service and well-appointed rooms to visitors who often return for more. The hotel commissions artwork specifically to hang throughout the hallways and rooms. Both guests and locals flock to the Melrose restaurant and adjacent bar, where seafood is a highlight and live entertainment plays on Friday and Saturday nights.
A huge renovation was completed in 2000 and added new furniture, fabric and duvets stuffed with goose down to every room. Accommodations are tastefully done in neutral tones and include data ports and voice mail. The on-site spa offers a menu of services, and there is an indoor swimming pool, sauna and whirlpool. A fitness center features cardio and weight machines. Conference and banquet facilities can accommodate up to 450 people. The location is within walking distance to the White House and National Mall, as well as Georgetown.
