Citysearch Editorial Review. This American eatery near Dupont Circle feels like someone's home; the two-level rowhouse sports exposed brick, smooth hardwood floors, sturdy dining room tables and butter-yellow walls, on which are displayed a collection of framed photographs taken by chef Daniel Singhofen's father. The food tastes like home too--if home had a chef who once worked at a Ritz-Carlton. The constantly changing menu reflects seasonal food, much of which is culled from local farmers markets. Expect slightly dressed-up versions of classics such as spaghetti (here it's served with coddled egg, pancetta, onion and beurre monte), beef and fish. A sizeable wine list--Eola houses around 100 labels at any given time--and fun cocktail collection make it a great date destination, too.
