Citysearch Editorial Review. This combination restaurant and sports bar is an example of local boys making good with a standby neighborhood gathering spot. Co-founders Eric Bernstrom and Jeremy Pollok (a George Washington University grad) worked their way up the food-industry latter; both started as busboys and eventually oversaw the openings of local Kimpton Hotel lounges before starting this joint venture restaurant and bar in Mt. Pleasant. With its exposed brick walls, underground space and lack of natural light, the downstairs bar can feel a bit dungeon-like, but that doesn't much matter since most patrons are there to watch the big game. Upstairs, find a more traditional dining room that serves up comfort food such as pulled pork sandwiches, burgers, chili and macaroni and cheese in addition to a daily selection of house-made desserts.
