I have owned a condo in Upper Marlboro since 1989 when I was stationed at Andrews AFB. Upon my retirement from the Air Force in 1994, I was forced to rent the condo because of a saturated market. At first I tried to do this myself, long distance from North Carolina, and the results were very poor.

Enter Brenda and Proactive Property Management, and my life became much easier. She found a terrific renter who takes care of my property and has lived there for years. She has always been accessible and quick to notify me of problems and help get them solved.

The biggest challenge was last June when the water heater failed and water leaked into the unit beneath mine. I was on vacation and hard to reach, but Brenda took the initiative and prevented a big problem from becoming much worse. I am indebted to her. She could have said, "Well, I couldn't reach you so there was nothing I could do." But she didn't. I really felt she was looking out for me personally.

As a result of her adept management, I consider the property an investment that I want to hold on to for as long as possible, not as a burden that I couldn't unload on the market. I receive frequent solicitations from real estate speculators in the area who assume I must be dying to get rid of it. I just laugh and throw their notices in the recycle bin.

We own a rental property in Stafford, Virginia that is managed by Proactive Property Management through the local Century 21 office. We are pleased that rental disbursements are made electronically directly to our account such that we do not have to worry about receiving checks by mail. We also appreciate the itemized accounting of income and expenditures for the property that is generated and distributed to us by Proactive. With regard to hands-on management of the property, Mr. Foxwell is outstanding. He is knowledgeable of the various trades, communicates well with us, and is able to offer money-saving and time-saving suggestions for repairs and maintenance to the property. We have learned that, if a property manager does not understand the trades (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc...), then significant time and money is lost trying to troubleshoot and resolve an issue. We are pleased with Mr. Foxwell and would highly recommend Proactive on this basis.

Soon my services with PPM will come to an end as I will be returning to occupy my property in Glenn Dale, MD. After 8 and a half years, I can honestly say that I am more than delighted with PPM, and particularly with my property manager, Brenda Dooley.

Brenda has been more than a property manager, she has been an adviser and friend. She treated me with the utmost respect and care and ensured that my property was always in good hands. Most notably, was her availability and assistance during my time of need. Without a doubt, of all the property managers I had throughout the last 8 years, Brenda has been by far the best one.

Should I need a property manager again in the future, rest assured that I will return to Proactive Property Management.

Debbie is the consummate professional property manager. Since assuming responsibilities for our residential property after the untimely departure of our former property manager, I have been continually impressed with Debbie's excellent communication with both our tenants and us as owners. I know she manages a host of properties, but the individualized service that she provides to us makes it seem like we are ALWAYS her number one priority. Debbie is the best!

I would not trust my property to any other company! For the past eight years I have never had to worry about anything. When there were problems, my property manager was always available to help me fix them. And, with me living overseas, that help was huge. Specially during unforeseen circumstances that required immediate attention. Brenda Dooley, my property manager was always a phone call away.

I own a property in Maryland. So far, I have been renting out the property since 2009. Brenda Dooley has been incredible. I own another property in Charleston, SC and have dealt with property managers before. Brenda's professionalism and organizational skills are unmatched. I have been station in Japan for 2 years. I have emailed and called Brenda late at night and had many questions. She has answered them all and has respond to my every need. My tenant has no complaints and also loves the services of Proactive Management. I would recommend this company to anyone. I hope to one day expand the amount of rental properties. Brenda will definitely be in my corner and in the future I hope to continue to do business with the company. At the beginning I was aphrensive about the company, but now I am very comfortable about the company's capabilities. Overall AWESOME JOB!! The company is great and I really appreciate Brenda Dooley as a property manager. She is the best property manager I have dealt with. Also to me the best property manager in Maryland. Thanks for everything and I appreciate your time.

PPM did an excellent job screening tenants to rent my property. Once rented, all contact with PPM staff was friendly and professional. Any repairs or service needed was clearly communicated and they found the right contractor to perform the work at reasonable cost. Thank you, PPM

Well....I am very happy with the service and had only good experiences dealing with both Brenda and Lynn. They provided QUICK/FAST solution to my property repair needs and continuous feedback on the work being done with emails and picture. I would recommend your office to all of my friends in the area who are trying to rent their property.....Another good experience....Thanks!

Ms Brenda Dooley is my property manager. I must say that ever since I meet with both Ms Brenda and Ms Jackie, I think that they are the greatest! They have been nothing but very supportive and helpful in every way that they can. Compared to my former property manager, he has nothing on Ms Brenda. I feel very secure with her managing the property because I know that she will take care of anything that needs to be taken care of. All I have to do is sit back and relax. :)

Proactive is prompt, patient, well managed, courteous, a true professional, dependable and credible. I've had several Property Managers during my time owning properties...PROACTIVE IS THE BEST!!!
