Our tech was Matt. He was intelligent and articulate and actually knew what he was doing. He would answer questions that I asked, so that I was able to understand what was happening as it happened. It was a totally different experience from the last guy.

This guy did a thorough check, and figured out the problem: I had dirty coils. This is a simple problem to diagnose. Unscrew panel, look at coils, see dirt. He also performed a leak test, which none of the other techs would do. Perhaps this is AHSWarranty policy dictating their behavior, but the test only took about an hour. Others have quoted me $1500 for the leak test -- wow, that's way too much. It's a $200 tool that they use to detect leaks. It shouldn't cost that much. Meanwhile, he also diagnosed that my system was overcharged -- too much refrigerant. (Because the other companies did not check for dirty coils, and that can give false-low readings on refrigerant levels.)

We used this company to inspect our A/C unit, as we let our annual inspection plan with another company lapse. The technician arrived right on time, was courteous, did a thorough job, was friendly and knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything he did during the inspection - a well as show me pictures of and explain the inner workings of my unit. My unit is running better than ever. I have no complaints about this company.

When we lived in VA, this is the company we always used when the heating or air went on the fritz. They always came out when they said they would and fixed everything quickly. One summer day the A/c broke when it was 100 degrees. Parrish was backed up with work, but promised to fit us in on this ungodly hot day. Without them, it would have been a sleepless night! I definitely recommend Parrish for prompt, professional service!

I've used Parrish Services twice now, both times with the same technician, Andrew. 1st time was back in January when my heater went out (oil). It was a Saturday night, and two other companies I called didn't even have an employee available that knew oil furnaces. Parrish had someone here within the hour. He was able to diagnose the problem and get it (almost) fixed quickly. However, the system needed 1 broken piece to be replaced in order to start working again, which he didn't have, and seeing as it was the weekend, said he couldn't get until Monday. But sure enough, first thing Monday he arrived with the part and installed it, getting my heater back up and running again. He was so professional and nice, even bringing treats for my dogs and being very aware of not tracking dirt in on his shoes. Second time I brought him back to install an air purifier for our home, which was done within an hour as well. Very prompt and professional service, I'll definitely use them again!

The company was great. The sales guy was upfront with us and patiently and professionally answered the questions my wife and I put to him without batting an eye. Fortunately they were able to have them come back the very next day (don't expect this as the rule, they do have to schedule service!) to install the new furnace - they even had plumbers come out the weekend after and move our gas pipe (so we could access the air filter) without any extra charge. I recommend this company to anyone looking for a competitive quote and professional service.

We've used Parrish since 1999 and have gotten great service on everything from HVAC to Plumbing. They have done major renovations to the plumbing in a 90 year old home, installed furnaces on two different houses for us as well as minor plumbing fixes. We've had nothing but great luck with their techs. Yes they try to upsell but so does everyone, that's part of the job. We don't call anyone else anymore.

Like everyone else here I was introduced to Parish by a home warranty service call. Unlike other people, my experience with Parish has been excellent. I had them install a new high efficiency furnace in 2004. The installation was perfect and worked flawlessly. The crew was great; knowledgeable and on-time. This past fall the water heater failed and I had them install a tankless heater. Again, professional and punctual. My home is one of the less than 10% using oil heat. So, thinking that there's a limited future in oil and to increase the resale desirability of my home, two months ago I had them install a geothermal system. I'm very happy with Parish and would not hesitate to recommend this company.
